The owl is the unmistakable symbol of the winery, founded in 1856. The ancients of all cultures considered it a sign of wisdom, tranquility, and permanence, revealing the hidden worlds beyond their reach. With their craft, the family equally uncovers the unique worlds that lie hidden in this special piece of land they cultivate. In the historical terraced vineyards around Langenlois (Kamptal), the brothers Ludwig and Dietmar look after a precious heritage of old vines, which have been selected by the family for several generations. They are carefully tended by hand to this day. Tradition, artisanality and a close relation to nature are the foundation of every wine. They are characterized by longevity, elegance and a unique dimension of texture and depth. Hiedler is a ÖTW founding member.
