Winzerkeller Neckenmarkt was created in 1968, has about 100 members, and they manage about 280 hectares of vineyards, small structured areas, which make sure that they care for their vineyards very carefully and intensive. About 70 ha of the vineyards are subject to what is known as the "8-grape program", which is used to reduce yield to 5,000 kilograms per hectare. 60 growers have agreed to participate in this quality initiative. Their vineyards, which must be at least 25 years old and situated in the best locations of the "Hochberg" in Neckenmarkt.
