Our vineyards are situated within the borders of the free city Rust, one of the best wine growing areas in the world. Rust traces back its wine growing origins back 2000 years. Already in 1524 Rust's Ausbruch-wines were granted a Markenschutz (trademark), allowing barrels to be branded with the letter "R".
The family has owned the estate since 1642. Since 1971 the estate is called "Elfenhof". At present we are cultivating 55 ha. More than 2/3 of our wines are exported all over the world.
