The Austrian Wine Marketing Board (Austrian Wine), Prinz-Eugen-Straße 34, A-1040 Vienna supports and coordinates the efforts in the area of quality and sales of the Austrian wine sector. One of the primary goals of Austrian Wine is making the appropriate tools and measures available to Austrian winemakers to allow them to break into new markets and to seize sales opportunities. In addition to this Austrian Wine also wants to strengthen networking within the industry.

If you voluntarily supply to us your personal information (title, first name, surname, email address, company) and register for an event, Austrian Wine will process them for the performance of a contract pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR to (i) handle the event and (ii) contact you if required (e.g. in case of shifts or change of venue). If you do not provide your data, we will not be able to register you for the chosen event

We store your personal data until the selected event is over and for a maximum of six months after that, in order to answer any follow-up inquiries and provide you with individual support. A different retention period applies if you have already submitted a declaration of consent for another use of your personal data to Austrian Wine (Privacy policy and consent form for Third Parties).

The event will be filmed and photographed and subsequently potentially published for purposes of event reporting in various media. In case you are recorded, any processing of your personal data in this context is based on our legitimate interests in PR and marketing purposes pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Based on legitimate interests, we will provide our winegrowers with a list of participants, reduced to publicly available data (corporate name, branch [importer/distributor/press], country and corporate homepage).

If necessary, we will share your personal data with external service providers (data processors) who assist us in providing our services and act on our behalf (incl. Regional Wine Committees, marketing tool providers, marketing agencies, communication service providers). All of our data processors process your data only on our behalf and based on our instructions for the provision of the above services.

We will also transfer your personal data to additional data controllers involved in the fulfillment of our obligations, if required (e.g. hotels and travel agencies in the context of the administration and organization of trips).

You may obtain access to the data stored about yourself at any time. In addition to this, you may also request the rectification and erasure of your data under certain circumstances. You also have the right to restriction of the processing of your data, the right to object, and the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

You have the option of lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for us is: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42; A-1030 Vienna.
