Rules of the challenge
In the WINE100 Challenge, all wines are judged in a blind tasting. The tasters are only given basic information about the wines, e.g. region, grape varieties and alcohol content. The wine samples are divided into groups according to grape varieties (or regions). Each member of the jury evaluates the wine samples individually, after which the final evaluation is decided in a discussion round. During the competition, international tasters coordinate with Chinese tasters to determine taste profiles that both meet international standards and are valued in the Chinese market.
